Norberto López García – Horn
Born in Seville (Spain) in 1995, Norberto López García began his musical studies at the Music Conservatory Cristobal de Morales with Vicente Giner and Jorge Belda, then he moved to Malaga to study with Luis Delgado at the Music Conservatory of Malaga.
He obtained the Grupo Planeta and Fundación Albéniz Scholarship in order to attend the Reina Sofia Music School in the class of Prof. Radovan Vlatković and Rodolfo Epelde, where he earned his Bachelor and Master’s Degree. In 2017 and 2019 he was awarded with the Most Outstanding Student Prize of the Horn Class.
From 2019 until 2021 he served as the Principal Horn of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in New Zealand, having his debut as a soloist with the David Hamilton Concerto. He is currently playing mostly as Principal Horn in orchestras such as Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, Nörrkoping Symphony Orchestra, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfonica de Castilla y León, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and as a guest player in Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Galilee Chamber Orchestra and Interlaken Festival Orchestra. Norberto López García has taken lessons with professors like Radek Baborak, Stefan Dohr, Richard Watkins, Timothy Jones, André Cazalet, Bruno Schneider and so many others.
Eager to constantly broaden his artistic field he performs at numerous festivals with chamber music partners such as Dag Jensen, Andrea Lieberknecht, Lucas Macías, Michel Arrignon.
